Buying Property

Information on buying Spanish Property
The decision to buying a property in Spain is something very
personal and it depends on multitude of factors.
Some people arrive with little or no idea of exactly what
they are looking for. They tend to drift from agent to agent
until almost inevitably they find themselves caught up in
a deal which, had they thought about it previously and not
allowed themselves to been influenced by the sun, the ambience
and the highly skilled sales person, would never have even
dreamed entering into.
It is very important, before jumping in with both feet, to
consider seriously what you hope to achieve, and when you
hope to achieve it. Don’t start looking until you know
what you are looking for and until you are ready to go ahead.
A little forward planning will give you a clearer idea of
what you want, where you want it, and what you can afford.
It will also save you an awful lot of time and wasted effort
It is a good idea to take time to explore the region before
deciding to buy. Take a couple of weeks holiday and try and
get to know what it’s like out of season when the tourists
have left. In July and August the beaches are full and so
are the car parks, it’s wall-to-wall people, hustle
and bustle, and usually very hot. Try visiting in the winter,
autumn or spring time and discover what living in Spain is
really all about.
Do you want to be in the town, just on the edge of town or
away from it all in the countryside?
